Set just two streets back from the shores of Abbey Beach, this family sought a loose coastal-inspired garden to fuel the curiosities of their growing tribe and nourish their love of the outdoors. 

Inspired by the nearby dunes, the front garden adopts a language of swathes of planting set amidst loose gravel pathways.

Fit for the likes of fairies & flamenco dancers, the internal courtyard takes on a more intimate feel; providing an everyday theatre for the family to spill out of the surrounding rooms and plunge into the landscape.

To the rear, an L shaped deck provides informal gathering space to watch the kids at play on the lawn and up trees. An edible garden sits just outside the kitchen an provides a direct connection between patch & plate.
